About us
Zolange Foundation is a non-profit that believes in the importance and implementation of the rights of women and children in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
It was founded in 2020 by Ursula Mabolia, who lost her father 2 months before turning 6 years old. This experience birthed in her a passion for the rejected, the parentless, and the less fortunate. She decided to name the NGO "Zolange", which in her father's native language of Kikongo means "love you". We at Zolange hope that all who will receive from the foundation will feel loved.
vision & mission
Zolange Foundation has as vision to impact thousands of Congolese women and children by providing opportunities for them to reach their full potential.
Our mission is to meet the humanitarian and educational needs of the women and children of DR Congo and setting up sustainable development projects to achieve immediate and lasting change.
core values
We at Zolange believe in the importance and implementation of the rights of women and children. Our core values are:
our projects
education
Every child has the right to an education. Therefore we provide Zolange scholarships, pay school fees and supply school materials for the students at our partner school and orphanage in Kinshasa.
project orphanage
Our aim through this project is to provide, food, clothing, toys, and more, but also to help improve the living conditions of the orphans living at our partner orphanage in Kinshasa.
women empowerment
Through different trainings, workshops and mentorship programs we want to help build the Congolese (young) women’s capacities and give them tools to impact their community.
partnership
We understand the necessity of working together, therefore we partner with like-minded organizations who make it their priority to make Congo (and Africa) a better place. Together with our partners we are able to reach our goals and fulfill our objectives.
